Ryan A. Onda served as a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare Defense Specialist in the United States Marine Corps and is our Master Trainer. He studied various training techniques from respected trainers and mentorship programs over the past 20 year and has since, gone on to develop an unparalleled "Pack Training System" that's designed to end the suffering of every Veteran with PTSD, MST, and TBI.
Renowned as a commanding yet, benevolent Marine, Ryan works tirelessly around the clock with his original group of Veterans, his new ones, and so many rescue dogs. He has transformed the life of every dog and person he has touched through his commitment, passion, and attention to detail. Because of his energy and love, Ryan has successfully trained and placed over 48 rescue dogs with Veterans, who still train with him today!
Ryan, schedules and teaches all classes, both group and private, and ensures the safety of every Veteran, volunteer, and dog. A special bond is developed between the Veteran and their dog so that, through their lifetime, it will continue to strengthen and grow; giving them both the confidence and freedom to live a life that they both deserve.
Amanda Onda has 20-years of leadership and hospitality experience, running restaurants, hotels, and country clubs. She brings her strong operational skills, love of customer satisfaction, and a passion for leading teams to high standards.
Amanda has always loved dogs and grew up around lots of pets. She currently owns five dogs, all rescued, of course, and treats them like her children. A few years ago, she and her husband decided they wanted to change their lives and work with dogs, which brings so much joy to their lives. Semper-Fi Service Dogs is their dream come true, and they have dedicated their lives to helping Veterans and finding homes for abandoned dogs in need.
Johnathon, a U.S. Navy Veteran of 4 and a half years, was stationed in Virginia as a Hospital Corpsman, working in the physically and emotionally challenging emergency department at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
Johnathon witnessed way too many Veterans and active-duty military come into the hospital suffering with debilitating mental health issues.
Because of the trauma that Johnathon has seen, he understands and knows firsthand of the struggles Veterans deal with every day. He has been working with various Veteran organizations since he left the military in 2015., and is the owner/handler of Ruger, a boxer/pitbull mix.
